Bartow Regional Medical Center Names Dr. Stuart Patterson Chief of Surgery

Bartow (Fla.) Regional Medical Center has named Stuart D. Patterson, MD, chief of surgery, according to a report from The Ledger.

Dr. Patterson is an orthopedic surgeon with Central Florida Orthopaedic Surgery in Lakeland. Dr. Patterson has a professional interest in hand and upper extremity care. During his career, he co-developed Wright Medical Group’s EVOLVE, OLYMPIA and E-CENTRIX devices for the elbow, shoulder and wrist.

Dr. Patterson earned his medical degree from the University of Cape Town Medical School in Africa and completed the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programme at McMaster University in Canada. His additional training includes an upper extremity fellowship at St. Michaels Hospital at the University of Toronto in Canada as well as a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the University of South Florida.
