Dr. MacLeod helped design the surgical instrumentation for the procedure, which is meant to minimize post-operative complications. He wrote the guide for training other orthopedic surgeons in the procedure and performed it in the technique DVD. The Arthroscopy Association of North America has invited him to share his technique in Chicago as well.

He is a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams and has treated several elite athletes. Dr. MacLeod currently practices sports medicine at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, Ga.
