IU Health orthopedic surgeon joins Ball State athletic care team

Anthony McPherron, DO, of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health is joining Ball State Athletics, according to a May 21 news release in Muncie Journal.

Dr. McPherron has more than 25 years of experience and will focus on injury prevention, performance enhancement and recovery. He previously worked as a team physician at Bloomington-based Indiana University, Cape Girardeau-based Southeast Missouri State University and Blacksburg-based Virginia Tech.

Dr. McPherron’s move is part of IU Health’s ongoing partnership with the university.
