Dr. Eric Berkson operates on Boston Red Sox player

Eric Berkson, MD, performed knee surgery on Triston Casas, a first baseman for the Boston Red Sox, according to a May 4 report from espn.com.

The surgery was to repair a ruptured tendon in Mr. Casas’s left knee. 

Mr. Casas ruptured his patellar tendon during a game on May 3. 

Dr. Berkson is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and a team physician for the Red Sox.
