The Orthopedic Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., has added MRI technology to its surgery center in Warsaw, Ind., according to an April 16 report from the Times Union Online.

The hospital is an affiliate of the Lutheran Health Network. The new scanner can accommodate patients up to 450 pounds and reduces metallic artifact exposure for a cleaner image, according to the report.

The new technology will give patients in the region access to care close to home, Chad Towner, CEO at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, told the Union.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
