Helena, Mont.-based St. Peter’s Health has been designated as an orthopedic center of excellence by DNV Healthcare.
To earn the designation, facilities must meet the highest standards of quality and excellence in all aspects of orthopedic care including surgery, diagnostic services and therapies, according to an April 9 news release from St. Peter’s Health.
Organizations must also achieve advanced certification in at least three orthopedic programs to receive the designation. St. Peter’s Health has advanced certification in hip and knee replacements, spine surgery and shoulder surgery.
Requirements are informed by the guidelines and recommendations of organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the release said.
