Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health, the official healthcare provider for the Charlotte Hornets, has deepened its relationship with the team through an expanded multi-year partnership.
Through the deal, Novant will have naming rights over the Hornets’ new performance center, which will also house Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, according to a March 25 news release from the team.
The Novant Health Performance Center project will begin construction in the next week and will house a 160,000-square-foot training and performance center, administrative offices, retail space and a Novant orthopedic and sports medicine care center, which will be open to the public.
Over 100,000 square feet of the facility will house practice, training and recovery spaces for the Hornets basketball team.
Novant orthopedic surgeon James Romanowski, MD, and sports medicine provider Joe Garcia, MD, serve as head team physicians for the Hornets.
