Orlando (Fla.) Health debuted the Orlando Health Spine Center, the system said March 24.

The spine center is a multidisciplinary facility for diagnosing and treating spine conditions, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. It’s the only program in the state that brings together orthopedic and neurosurgery physicians, the release said.

Orlando Health Spine Center spans 16 locations in central Florida, and seven of those locations have walk-in clinics. Twenty-nine physicians work with the center.

“A multidisciplinary approach is vital to advancing spine care and providing tailored, comprehensive treatment for our patients,” Robert Hirschl, MD, physician president of Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute, said in the release. “By integrating the neuroscience institute and orthopedic institute in this exciting new program, our goal is to improve outcomes and get patients back to the lives and activities they enjoy.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
