Georgia Athletic Trainers Association Honors Dr. Kevin Collins

Georgia Athletic Trainers Association has named Kevin Collins, DO, a general orthopedic surgeon, as the 2012 Dr. Jack C. Hughston Physician of the Year, according to a Hughston Clinic news release.

Dr. Collins is the team physician for Valdosta State athletics and Colquitt County High teams. He earned his medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center and Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, La. His additional training includes a sports medicine fellowship at Hughston Foundation in Columbus, Ga.
