Ohio Health Information Exchange Pioneers Interstate Data Sharing

Ohio’s health information exchange is the first in the United States to share healthcare data between states via direct secure messaging, according to an Ohio Health Information Partnership news release.

On Dec. 1, the statewide HIE, CliniSync, connected with the Mississippi Health Information Network to allow physicians in Lima, Ohio and Biloxi, Miss., to share electronic health records with each other.
