Dr. Edward Khalfayan Performs Shoulder Surgery on Mariners Pitcher Dan Cortes

Edward Khalfayan, MD, team medical director for the Seattle Mariners, recently performed shoulder surgery on relief pitcher Dan Cortes, according to a report from The Seattle Times.

Mr. Cortes sustained the injury during the off-season and he has been unable to participate in winter ball. Dr. Khalfayan’s surgery repaired rotator cuff damage and a partial tear of the biceps tendon.
