Dr. James Andrews Performs Elbow Surgery on Pitcher Hector Rondon

James Andrews, MD, founder of Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., recently performed elbow surgery on former Indians pitcher Hector Rondon, according to a report from ESPN MLB.

Mr. Rondon was recently designated for assignment by the Indians. He previously underwent unilateral chondral ligament repair on his right arm. The most recent surgery performed by Dr. Andrews was to repair a fracture in Mr. Rondon’s right elbow as well. He is expected to spend five to seven months recovering from the surgery.
