Surgeon General Seeks App to Get Consumers Exercising, Eating Right

A new app challenge, issued by the Office of the Surgeon General and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, aims to help consumers get involved in their own healthcare, according to a Health IT Buzz report.

The Surgeon General’s Healthy App Challenge is seeking apps on fitness/physical activity, nutrition/healthy eating and integrative health, which focuses on integrating healthy sleep habits, mental/spiritual health and other aspects of wellness.
