Barry Porter, the clinic’s CEO, cited several physicians retiring, difficulties recruiting new physicians in sub-specialities and rising costs for the closure.

The clinic’s physicians and surgeons are making plans to relocate their practices, but Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic is still accepting new patients until it officially closes in April.

Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic has provided care for nearly 30 years, the report said.
