ONC Final Rule Specifies Removal Process for Approved Accreditor

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has issued a final rule for addressing improper actions or responsibility failures of the ONC-Approved Accreditor.

The proposed rule, “Permanent Certification Program for Health Information Technology; Revisions to ONC-Approved Accreditor Processes,” suggested a removal process for changing the ONC-AA in the case of improper conduct or failure to fulfill responsibilities.
