California neurosurgeon adds neurology ultrasound treatment

Neurosurgeon Alexander Taghva, MD, introduced focused ultrasound at his practice in Orange County, Calif., according to a Dec. 3 news release.

Focused ultrasound treatment is noninvasive and used to address tremors. The procedure is done in the outpatient setting, and the patient can be awake for it.  

Dr. Taghva also specializes in minimally invasive spine and brain surgeries.
