Dartmouth medical school names new orthopedic chair

Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth have named Anna Noel Miller, MD, as chair of the department of orthopedics.

Dr. Miller currently serves as vice chair of orthopedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and as the inpatient medical director at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, according to an Oct. 29 news release.

Additionally, she is an examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow in the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program.

Dr. Miller will assume her new role on Dec. 23.
