Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in Exeter, N.H., notified patients of a data breach that was discovered in May. Employees discovered suspicious activity in the practice’s network on May 10 and took measures to secure it. After an investigation, the practice learned an unauthorized party accessed some files.
Des Plaines, Ill.-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute recently experienced a cybersecurity incident affecting 182,670 individuals. The practice detected unauthorized access to certain computer systems on its network July 4. An investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed the practice’s network and certain files between May 30 and July 4.
