RJWBarnabas Health adds neurosurgical oncology leader

Jonathan Sherman, MD, was named chief of neurosurgical oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Brunswick, N.J., according to a Sept. 3 news release.

His practice focuses on brain and spinal tumors, and he specializes in neurological oncology. In his role he will help develop clinical trials along with treating patients. Dr. Sherman previously worked as director of neurosurgical oncology at West Virginia University in Morgantown.

Dr. Sherman earned his medical degree from Augusta-based Medical College of Georgia and completed his neurosurgery residency at Charlottesville-based University of Virginia.
