The expansion will create the Ochsner Lafayette General Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute in an effort to elevate orthopedic capabilities in the region.

The $19 million upgrade project will add a 17,200-square-foot enhancement to Ochsner’s orthopedic facilities, along with a 14,000-square-foot expansion dedicated to physical therapy and sports medicine.

The expansion will include 17 exam rooms with two triage rooms, two radiology rooms and two treatment rooms.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
