Dr. Keith Meister operates on Orioles infielder

Keith Meister, MD, has performed a left elbow ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction on Baltimore Orioles infielder Jorge Mateo.

Dr. Meister performed the procedure at Trinity Park Surgery Center in Arlington, Texas, according to an Aug. 28 press release from the MLB. 

The procedure will end Mr. Mateo’s 2024 season. He sustained the injury July 23 when he collided with fellow infielder Gunnar Henderson on a play up the middle of the field during a game in Miami.
