Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Foundations Join to Form Collaborative Spine Research Foundation

The Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation will collaborate to create a grant program for multidisciplinary clinical spine research, according to a Newswise report.

The new foundation, the Collaborative Spine Research Foundation, will be a non-profit organization focused on advancing the science and practice of spine care. The board of directors will include an equal number of neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons to oversee grant and award receptions.

CSRF board of directors will also establish and enforce conflict of interest standards, recruit peer-review teams and develop financial strategies.
