New orthopedic, spine practices in Q2 by state

A number of orthopedic and spine practices have opened or secured approval to do so across 20 states during the second quarter of 2024.

Here is a state-by-state breakdown of 32 new practices from Q2:

Alabama 

Birmingham-based OrthoAlabama opened a satellite clinic in Pell City.

Mobile-based USA Health opened a new sports medicine location at USA Health Providence Hospital in West Mobile.

Colorado 

Fort Collins-based Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies has opened a new facility in Greeley.

Connecticut 

Middletown-based Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates opened a new location in Newington.

The Brain and Spine Institute at UConn Health opened its doors in Farmington.

Florida 

Fort Myers-based Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida has completed construction on its new, 60,000-square-foot medical office building and corporate headquarters. 

Boca Raton-based West Boca Medical Center is set to open the Boca Center for Orthopedic and Spine Care in Parkland.

Georgia 

Atlanta-based Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute-Sports Medicine relocated its Buford office to a new location in the city. 

Atlanta-based Peachtree Orthopedics opened a new clinic location in Dawsonville.

Idaho 

William Bradley, MD, opened Mountain West Spine Clinic in Meridian.

Indiana 

Louisville, Ky.-based Commonwealth Pain & Spine has partnered with Woodward Development and Construction to open an ASC in Evansville, Ind.

OrthoIndy opened a new surgical facility in Westfield that will focus on same-day outpatient procedures.

Columbus (Ind.) Regional Health relocated its orthopedic and sports medicine practice to a new facility in the city. 

Kentucky 

Lexington-based University of Kentucky broke ground on a $781 million project that will house its comprehensive spine center.

Massachusetts

Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics created the Mansfield-based Massachusetts Complex Spine Clinic to expand access to its spine team. 

Nevada 

Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics has relocated, opening a new facility in the city. 

New Jersey 

John Abraham, MD, of Abraham Orthopaedics opened a new location in Marlton.

New York 

Elmira-based Arnot Health cut the ribbon on its upgraded orthopedic unit at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

New Hyde Park-based Northwell Health opened a $3 million orthopedic facility in Tarrytown.

North Carolina 

Durham-based EmergeOrtho opened a new orthopedic urgent care and physical therapy location in Mebane.

Ohio 

Cleveland-based University Hospitals opened the new UH Amherst (Ohio) Health Center, creating a central hub for comprehensive orthopedic care.

Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine opened its sixth patient office in Springboro.

Cleveland-based University Hospitals opened a new orthopedic injury clinic in Ashland. 

Chillicothe-based Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute opened an express clinic.

Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network andHighmark Health cut the ribbon on a $6.5 million sports medicine and sports performance training facility at the Erie Sports Center. 

York-based OSS Health opened its eighth location in Hampden Township.

South Carolina 

Bon Secours Piedmont Orthopedics opened its sixth location in Greenville; it will specialize in treating spine and hand issues.

Tennessee 

Bristol-based ​​Appalachian Orthopedics opened a new location in Elizabethton.

Nashville-based Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance opened its expanded facility in Clarksville.

Virginia 

Reston (Va.) Hospital, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, opened a new spine and orthopedic center. 

Wisconsin 

Minneapolis-based TRIA Orthopedics opened a new location at the Hudson (Wis.) Hospital & Clinic campus.

Wyoming 
Rock Springs-based Aspen Mountain Medical Center opened a new spine and pain management clinic at its Aspen Mountain facility.
