Dr. Hinds passed away one year ago at the age of 89. His daughter, Julie Franklin, and son-in-law, Martin Franklin, made the gift to establish the Dr. Ronald B. Hinds Department of Medicine Endowed Chair, according to a June 4 press release.

The endowed chair will support research efforts of a senior faculty member in the school’s department of medicine.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
