Allegheny Health Network, Highmark Health cut ribbon on $6.5M sports medicine facility

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network and Highmark Health have cut the ribbon on a $6.5 million sports medicine and sports performance training facility at the Erie (Pa.) Sports Center, according to a May 1 report from Erie News Now

The 14,000-square-foot facility will be staffed by Allegheny’s sports medicine team and will provide advanced clinical care and sports performance training for athletes of all ages.

The AHN team will be providing a spectrum of services at the location for athletes and active adults, including physician appointments, care management, physical/occupational therapy and sports rehabilitation, concussion management, strength training, conditioning, speed, agility and recovering services. Onsite X-rays will also be available.

The facility is expected to open to patients and athletes in the coming weeks.
