Theradaptive adds former Orthofix leader as chief scientific officer

Regenerative therapeutics company Theradaptive has appointed Frank Vizesi, PhD, as its chief scientific officer.

Dr. Vizesi has over 20 years of experience in orthobiologics and spinal fusion, holding leadership roles at Orthofix, SeaSpine and NuVasive, according to an April 16 press release. 

He is passionate about driving progress in therapeutics and bringing new technologies to surgeons that deliver improved outcomes for patients, according to the news release. He most recently served as Orthofix’s chief scientific officer. 

In his new role, Dr. Vizesi will work alongside the clinical and regulatory team to aid in the successful execution of the OsteoAdapt clinical study program and navigate the FDA approval process. 

He will also support Theradaptive’s ongoing label expansion into sports medicine, dental and craniomaxillofacial indications.
