Highest-paying workplaces for orthopedic surgeons in 2024

Orthopedic surgeons earn the most money at outpatient care centers, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The federal agency released updated salary information to reflect 2023 data April 3.

Here are the top-paying workplace for orthopedic surgeons:

Outpatient care centers: $429,450

General medical and surgical hospitals: $412,380

Physician offices: $380,460

Colleges, universities and professional schools: $180,840
