Dr. Canlas is a former U.S. Olympic Committee consultant and previously served as a team physician with the Detroit Lions. He earned his medical degree at American University in the Caribbean and completed his residency in family practice at Saginaw (Mich.) Cooperative Hospitals. His additional training includes a sports medicine fellowship at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Sciences.
