Mr. Rooney will lead Spineology’s U.S. market growth and sales efforts, according to an April 4 press release. He has worked in medical device fields related to spinal implants and navigation for the last 20 years.

Previously, Mr. Rooney spent nearly six years with Alphatec Spine leading its East Coast sales team. He also spent 10 years with Stryker and is a board member for the International Spine Foundation, a non-profit that serves underprivileged spine patients.

Spineology has set its sights on continued organizational expansion across the U.S., with a focus on its OptiMesh portfolio of implants, according to the release.
