Dr. Jeffrey Carlson adds Prodisc C Vivo to practice

Jeffrey Carlson, MD, performed the first cervical disc replacement with the Prodisc C Vivo implant in the Hampton Roads region in Virginia.

He performed the case Feb. 26 at Coastal Virginia Surgery Center in Newport News, Va., according to a March 4 news release shared with Becker’s. The patient was a 56-year-old man with a cervical disc herniation. His surgery took an hour, and he went home the same day.

Prodisc C Vivo is from Centinel Spine and has been used globally since 2009.
