10 orthopedic practice moves in 30 days

Here are 10 orthopedic practice openings, acquisitions, mergers and partnerships that Becker’s has reported on since Dec. 11:

1. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health acquired the Paducah-based Orthopedic Institute of Western Kentucky.

2. The Institute for Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine will merge with Orthopedic Center of Florida starting April 1.

3. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health opened a state-of-the-art orthopedic suite at its Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, N.J.

4. Charleston-based West Virginia University Medicine Thomas Hospitals opened the state’s first full-service, comprehensive orthopedic hospital.

5. East Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics added family-owned practice Cranston, R.I.-based Orthopaedic Associates to its network of facilities. 

6. Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute opened a new Orlando-based medical pavilion, Orlando Health Medical Pavilion — Randal Park. 

7. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Nova Ortho and Spine opened its 10th location in the state in Port St. Lucie. 

8. St. Luke’s University Health Network opened a 52,000-square-foot orthopedic hospital in South Whitehall Township, Pa.

9. White River Health opened a new orthopedic and sports medicine facility in Batesville, Ark.

10. Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Wilmington (Ohio) partnered with Clinton Memorial Hospital.
