ZimVie spine system gets cleared for use with Brainlab

ZimVie’s Vital spinal fixation system was FDA cleared for use with Brainlab’s spine and trauma navigation, according to a Dec. 12 news release.

The Vital spinal fixation system is an instrument and implant kit for degenerative thoracolumbar procedures. Brainlab’s navigation technologies can assist with pedicle screw placement.

ZimVie plans to submit another spine system, Virage, for FDA clearance with Brainlab. The company partnered with Brainlab in March.
