Good Samaritan Medical Center earns BCBS distinction for hip, knee replacements

West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Good Samaritan Medical Center has been named a Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association Blue Distinction Center for hip and knee replacements, according to a Nov. 21 report from the Palm Beach Post.

Blue Distinction facilities are nationally recognized for their commitment to patient safety and better health outcomes based on objective measures developed by the medical community and top accreditation associations. 

Facilities designated by BCBS as Blue Distinction centers for knee and hip replacements demonstrate expertise in total knee and total hip replacement surgeries, resulting in fewer patient complications and readmissions.
