The value-based partnership is the first-of-its-kind orthopedic-focused expansion for the hospital, according to a Nov. 15 press release sent to Becker’s.

To house the Orthopedic Institute, a fifth floor was added to the medical center and the fourth floor was renovated to expand clinical and support services for the facility.

A total of 54,000 additional square feet was added between the two floors.

“There continues to be that focus on transitioning care into the ASC setting. The orthopedic specialty hospital partnership with Ridgeview is a value-based partnership. It adds another option for expanding our already successful value-based program, providing more concierge care. People want that convenient specialty care, and we’re looking to add it however we can,” TCO’s Chief Operating Officer Janet Benton told Becker’s.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
