Now, Veyond has partnered with spine specialist Choi Gun, MD, to improve spine surgery training, merging clinical care with technologies — such as artificial intelligence, advanced haptic feedback and dynamic digital twins — to facilitate an educational experience that can be used worldwide and sets new benchmarks in surgical proficiency and patient care.

Through the partnership, Veyond and Dr. Gun are developing a hardware training product tailored for spine surgery training, according to a Nov. 2 press release.

The tool, which is expected to be available in the next 12 months, will integrate artificial intelligence to create a fully immersive training experience.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gun has completed over 8,000 spinal surgeries and trained over 300 international spine surgeons.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
