Researchers gathered results from 128 Division I collegiate female athletes. Approximately 21.9 percent of the athletes suffered an ACL tear during the four year study period and the average SRC for these athletes was 6 pg/mL, compared with athletes who didn’t have ACL tears (1.8 pg/mL).
The athletes with ACL tears were at a four times greater risk for additional ACL tears.
