OrthoPediatrics will work with Children’s National and other orthopedic facilities under its initiative, the Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation. OrthoPediatrics will act as a strategic adviser to participating facilities.
The Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation has received a $7.5 million grant from the FDA, which will be dedicated to creating a platform of services, expertise and funding that supports bringing innovative products to market.
Other consortium members are Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University, CIMIT at Mass General Brigham in Boston, Tufts Medical Center in Boston and the Medstar Health Research Institute. MedTech Color and Radiological Health will also be involved.
