Dr. Brian Cole named adviser of EpiBone

EpiBone named Brian Cole, MD, of Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center, as an adviser, the regenerative medicine company said Aug. 8.

Dr. Cole will support EpiBone’s work to develop living bone and cartilage for human transplantation, according to a news release. He is a managing partner at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and specializes in shoulder, elbow and kneee surgery.

“Having established himself as a leader in the field of orthopedic restoration, he has devoted his life to solving the same problems we are – enabling people to have healthy, working bones and joints,” Nina Tandon, co-founder and CEO of EpiBone, said in the release. “We are very excited for him to join our team, and look forward to applying his professional guidance across the full spectrum of our work, from product development to clinical trial design.”
