As part of the partnership, Shawn Mountain, DO, will serve as medical director for the athletics department, according to a July 26 news release from Hughston.
Dr. Mountain will be joined and supported by Forrest Allen, DO; John Burleson, MD; Adam Cochran, MD; Jonathan Cornelius, MD; William Melton, MD; Lucas Richie, MD; and Michael Taylor, MD.
Cumberland University has 31 sports teams, the release said.
