NorthShore, Chicago Fire reach sports medicine partnership

Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem and MLS team Chicago Fire FC partnered up, making NorthShore the team’s official health system, sports medicine and orthopedics provider.

As part of the multiyear agreement, Jason Koh, MD, director of the NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute, will become the Chicago Fire’s chief medical officer, according to a June 27 news release from the team. 

NorthShore University HealthSystem is a part of NorthShore–Edward-Elmhurst Health, which has more than 6,000 physicians.
