The $6 million facility is a 10,000-square-foot expansion of the Darrell Gooden Center, according to an April 18 news release from the university.
The center will have a new treatment space, physical therapy area, hydrotherapy areas and physician exam rooms to enhance care for the university’s student-athletes.
The school worked with the Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine to design the building.
Construction is expected to take 18 months, the release said.
