During the first opening phase, guests can access imaging, lab and pharmacy services, a 62-exam room clinic, an ASC and a rehabilitation space, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
The ASC, which includes 12 operating rooms and a suite for minimally invasive sports medicine technology, is named the Eugene Jewett, MD Surgery Center, in honor of the institute’s founder.
The seven-story, 375,000-square-foot facility is the first health system in Florida to receive new, faster MRI technology, the release said.
A second phase of the complex will include 75 inpatient “smart” rooms, a research and innovation center for orthopedic surgery residents, a 10-station cadaver lab, a 3D printer and a 116-seat auditorium. It is set to open in August.
