Dr. Evan Ellis performs knee surgery on National Basketball Association player

Evan Ellis, MD, performed knee surgery on Ibou Badji of the Portland Trailblazers in the National Basketball Association.

The surgery was an arthroscopic patellar chondroplasty and debridement in Mr. Badji’s left knee. The operation took place on March 6 in Vancouver, Wash., according to a March 7 news release from the team.  

Dr. Ellis is a team physician for the Trailblazers and a sports medicine specialist of Rebound Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.

Mr. Badji is expected to make a complete recovery in approximately eight weeks, the release said.
