New Hampshire orthopedic surgeon arrested for alleged patient abuse

Thomas Marks, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Claremont, N.H.-based Valley Regional Hospital, is facing allegations he sexually assaulted a patient, CBS affiliate WCAX reported Jan. 25.

Police began investigating Dr. Marks in December after a patient alleges he assaulted her during an office visit, the report said.

He was arrested Jan. 24 and is being held at the Sullivan County House of Correction.
