Dr. William Hutchinson operates on professional soccer star

William Hutchinson, MD, a surgeon at the Pacific Coast Hernia Center in Santa Monica, Calif., performed a procedure to repair an entrapped hip nerve on professional soccer player Matt Miazga.

Dr. Hutchinson successfully performed the procedure on Dec. 15, taking Mr. Miazga out of the rest of the soccer preseason, according to a Jan. 9 press release. 

Mr. Miazga is a defender for FC Cincinnati, joining the club in August of last season. He previously played for England-based Chelsea FC.
