Alphatec sees 43% revenue jump in Q3: 4 notes

Spine devicemaker Alphatec reported a 43 percent year-over-year increase in third quarter revenue on Nov. 3.

Four things to know:

1. The company saw total revenue of $90 million, according to a news release. 

2. Alphatec saw a 32 percent increase in surgical volume and 22 percent incrase in users compared to the same time last year.

3. The company is on track to hit $340 million in revenue for the fiscal year, including 40 percent full-year growth.

4. Highlights of the third quarter include the launch of Alphatec’s first expandable interbody. Alphatec also enhanced its the lateral transpsoas procedure and developed a Midline ALIF approach.
