The Hipturn device integrates into MicroPort’s hip product line and in conjunction with its SuperPath and AnteriorPath techniques, according to a Nov. 2 company news release. It is designed to help surgeons trial different offset and neck options without removing constructs.

“It is refreshing to see a company create tools that are beneficial to the surgeon and the patient,” orthopedic surgeon Pavel Muradov, MD, said in the release. “The Hipturn tensioning instrument saves time, causes less tissue trauma and could revolutionize the way total hip arthroplasty is performed.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
