The average wait time to see an orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. is 16.9 days, according to Merritt Hawkins’ 2022 “Survey of Physician Appointment Wait Times and Medicare and Medicaid Acceptance Rates.”
“Over the last few years we’ve brought in an orthopedic robot, more equipment and we have more instruments that we need to store. This is just the next logical step for us,” Karen Cavender, RN, Copley Hospital’s director of perioperative services, told WCAX.
The hospital told the news station it plans to have the expansion completed by March.
