Dr. Neal ElAttrache performs MLB pitcher’s 2nd Tommy John surgery

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler’s second Tommy John surgery, mlb.com reported Aug. 23.

Dr. ElAttrache performed the procedure and also repaired a flexor tendon in Mr. Buehler’s right arm, the report said. In 2015, Dr. ElAttrache completed the pitcher’s first Tommy John surgery.

Mr. Buehler’s timeline for recovery is not. A person’s first Tommy John surgery can require a yearlong recovery, and a second can take longer, the report said.
