The fellowship is part of Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis and is led by Kevin Mullaney, MD, according to the program’s website. The program is a yearlong fellowship and allows surgeons to meet with faculty through a rotating schedule.
The program was named for John Moe, MD, who founded Twin Cities Spine Center, Dr. Mullaney told Minnesota Physician in its July 2022 edition. In the last 50 years, the fellowship has trained 189 spine surgeons.
“Over the past 50 years, we have seen a significant number of advances in regard to techniques applicable to spinal pathology,” Dr. Mullaney told the journal. “This ranges from minimally invasive techniques to robotic-assisted procedures and high-tech CT-guided instrumentation, placement and confirmation. We have been able to care for patients with more spinal pathologies with less morbidity.”
